"Kaminari" means "thunder & lightning" and it was a name that stuck while we were visiting farms and Jiu Jitsu academies between a drizzly Tokyo and Kyoto.

Purifying Yuzu juice and detoxifying Sasanishiki rice water are blended with an anti-fungal combo of Japanese bamboo charcoal and Tsubaki oil. Each bar also contains Matcha Tea Powder sourced from the Ippudo Tea farm in Kyoto.  Matcha Tea is a natural antibiotic and rich in Chlorophyll which naturally stimulates the wound healing process. Crushed Sakura (cherry blossoms) and Green Tea leaves are added to gently exfoliate your skin.

Inspired by one of the finest purple fruits on the planet - The Açaí Berry - which also happens to be native to Brasíl - the motherland of Jiu Jitsu.

Our fourth arrival- "The Milk n' Honey Batch" - was inspired by our love for sourcing ingredients from local farmers themselves.

Infused with Organic Goat's Milk and local Santa Barbara Honey that is extracted by hand, we also blended in anti-bacterial Lemon Oil and anti-inflammatory Rosemary Oil.  Each bar is also sprinkled with a dash of exfoliating Poppy Seeds.

High levels of cooling Peppermint oil open up the pores and allows the rest of our fungus-fighting oils to thoroughly cleanse the skin of any mat funk picked up after a heavy training session.  Each bar also comes loaded with walnut shell bits to gently exfoliate the skin and moisturizing Shea Butter.

A powerful bacteria destroyer inspired by antibacterial and anti-fungal ingredients found in the Northern hemisphere. 

A trip to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in early 2018 led us to a Farmers Market (Marché Jean Talon) and subsequently a local soap bar that would inspire our latest After-Training Soap creation - “The Northern Knight Batch” - a powerful bacteria destroyer infused with antibacterial and anti-fungal ingredients from the Northern hemisphere. 

A “Maple Syrup Soap Bar” - coaxed our curiosity and further research would lead us to learning of the 54 compounds within the sweet substance containing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  We’ve also added in two other sticky substances - Canadian Honey and Organic Pine Tar, whose piney scents and antiseptic properties paired well with the Pine needle oil we also sourced from Canada.  Another major ingredient in this batch is fresh Dragon’s Blood Extract - a crimson resin (lending its color to the bar) that has been used to heal wounds, both internally and externally, since the 1600’s.  We’ve also added in a 3-oil concoction of bacteria-killing Himalayan Cedar Wood, Phenol-charged Oregano, and our signature high-grade Australian Tea Tree.  A mineral-rich Alaskan Glacial Mud was then blended in to pull impurities from the skin while Marshmallow Root crumbs were infused to both moisturize and exfoliate any dead skin acquired during heavy training.  Winter is coming...

Straight from our Hawaiian roots, we re-visited home to gather another round of powerful ingredients born from Hawai'i's Volcanic-rich soil for our latest After-training soap batch.

Benefits

We blended purifying Black Lava rock salt sourced from the Big Island with skin-clarifying Giant and Chocolate Awapuhi Zingiber strains from O'ahu. Organic, vitamin-rich Papaya juice and Taro root extract were also added along with a detoxifying, Alaea red clay from Maui, which has been used for centuries in Hawai’i to extract impurities from wounds.

This translucent, tropical blue 10 oz. behemoth was inspired by the deep blue sea...and the 50+ foot giants that once regulated it.  Each and every bar comes infused with a supercharged, organic, infection-fighting blend of Sea Buckthorn Oil, Australian Tea Tree Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, and Key Lime Oil (which also lends it’s fresh, citrusy scent to the batch). Each bar is also infused with Dead Sea Salt crumbles - highly regarded for it’s special ability to detoxify pores and remove any unwanted bacteria within.  Next, we added a dash of a pirate-classic - Rum, distilled in the town of Koloa on the island of Kaua’i, for it’s strong, antiseptic properties.  We then sprinkled in a handful of skin-soothing, anti-inflammatory, Mugwort Root Powder, commonly harvested for it’s ability to neutralize Urushiol - the active ingredient in Poison Oak and Poison Ivy.  The batch is finally rounded off with a healthy pour of organic, California-grown Avocado Oil, for it’s essential fatty-acids that help to moisturize skin, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the wound healing process.  As they say, “The ground is our ocean”, and the “Mat-Megalodon” was created specifically to cleanse and protect us from the skin infections that can often come with the murky territory.

A soap bar worthy of a title like “The Absolute Batch”, this Ultra Heavyweight 10oz. mega-bar comes loaded with bacteria-killing ingredients sourced World Wide - UMF 20+ Manuka Honey from New Zealand joins forces with a powerful fungus-fighting blend of Tea Tree, Thyme, and Cedarwood. Virgin Coconut oil deeply moisturizes while shredded Orange peels exfoliate dead skin acquired during heavy training. We polished off this giant with a potent infusion of “4 Thieves Oil” (Lemon, Rosemary, Clove, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon) - an herbal blend notoriously made famous by four grave-robbing thieves in the 15th century during the dark times of “The Bubonic Plague”.   The thieves would coat themselves in the special concoction before robbing infectious dead bodies of their jewels to avoid becoming infected.  Centuries later, we’ve harnessed this exact medicinal blend in our latest after-training creation.

Like the “Purple mountain majesties” of the Rockies, our latest bacteria-slaughtering Mega Bar glows like a backlit Amethyst stone.  Strictly powered by ingredients grown on US soil, “The American Spring Batch” was inspired by just that; beginning with the pure Spring Water we source from Upstate New York, all the way to the 90-proof Tennessee Whiskey we’ve injected into each bar.  A heavy dose of American Witch Hazel from Connecticut is then combined with a potent infection-fighting trifecta of USA-distilled Tea Tree Oil + USA-grown Carrot and Eucalyptus Oil.  From California, where all of our soap products are crafted, we’ve added in a healthy pour of vitamin-rich Goat’s Milk along with raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar to soothe and fortify damaged skin.  From Colorado, we’ve sourced Organic Wheat flower and Wheat germ oil for their high volume of Vitamin E, Folic Acid, and Vitamin B6 which help to prevent skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and dry skin.  Next, handfuls of USP-grade Epsom Salt are generously scattered in to soothe soar muscles.  Finally, a plentiful amount of Hawaiian Mango Butter is added to deeply rehydrate while Florida Strawberry seeds, sprinkled in to exfoliate any dead skin acquired during heavy training, seamlessly float in this 10oz. purple mammoth.  This batch features a top note of freshly baked Apple pie with subtle notes of Eucalyptus.  As the Jiu Jitsu scene in the USA continues to grow, so does our army of sudsy Black Belts, this one powered by ingredients grown in the soil of the Red, White, and Blue...yet designed to protect Jiu Jitsu Players worldwide.

After almost 2 years of development, we at The Arm Bar Soap Co. are extremely proud to introduce "The Hawaiian Potion" - an Aloha-filled liquid body wash version of one of our most highly-demanded soap bars - "The Hawaiian Batch." We journeyed home to the Hawaiian Islands to source most of the active naturals in each bottle.  Each bottle is chock full of 100% Light roasted Kona Coffee Grounds from the Big Island, Bacteria fighting Noni Juice from Kaua'i, wound healing Lavender Oil from Maui, and deep-moisturizing Kuku’i Nut Oil from O'ahu.   This formula is designed for daily use after heavy training.

A potent blend of Maui-sourced Lavender oil and Australian Tea Tree Oil is the bacteria-fighting foundation of this powerful, creamy body wash and the aroma the combination produces is invigorating. Kaua'i-sourced Noni Juice was added to the formula due to it's richness in fatty-acids, Anthraquinones (anti-bacterial), and Scopoletin - a strong anti-fungal. A sweet-scented, supersized bacteria-hunting soap brick inspired by the predatory creatures of myth and folklore.  Although rare, super packs of wolves have been recorded in the hundreds. These packs develop social bonds so strong they’ve been known to sacrifice themselves for the survival of the pack.  Similarities of family and unity can be found throughout Jiu Jitsu academies around the world.  We knew a bar built around a creature so formidable deserved a fungal-fighting formulation to match.  We began by infusing this batch with one of the strongest natural bacteria killing oils on earth - East Cape Manuka oil, an ingredient that has been proven to be more than 33x more effective in eliminating the Staphylococcus Aureus (Staph) strain than it’s Australian counterpart.  We’ve combined this with a potent, fungus fighting 5-oil-blend of Night Blooming Jasmine, Vetiver, Clary Sage, Tea tree, and Cypress. We then added in a healthy helping of Myrrh Resin Powder - used by the Egyptians for centuries to promote quick wound healing.  Next, a bountiful amount of North American Blueberry Oil was poured in for its powerful antioxidants and high levels of alpha linolenic acid, an essential fat known for healing damaged skin.  This 10oz. pink giant is finally finished off with a healthy helping of organic, moisture-rich Kokum Butter to rehydrate skin while a hefty dash of Apricot Seed Powder is sprinkled in each bar to exfoliate any dead skin acquired during heavy training.  Created to cleanse and protect us from the mat-born infections that often stalk us we step on the mat, we invite you to run with the Arm Bar wolf pack.
