Caravaggio was ahead of his time. His polarizing painting “Judith beheading Holofernes” (1602) was a perfect fit for the third installment of our TTWD Art Gallery. The dramatic scene captures the widow Judith who stayed with the Assyrian general, Holofernes, in his tent after a banquet then decapitated him after he passed out drunk. As we have seen time and time again throughout the life span of Jiu Jitsu academies and the unfortunate dissolve between pupil and professor, betrayal often begins with trust.

We've resurrected the 1861 oil painting “La Mort de Priam” by French artist, Jules Lefebvre, for the second coming of our “Certain Death” series - a very powerful image that ties in seamlessly with our constant desire to understand our own mortality in a life of never-ending growth through training Jiu Jitsu.

We proudly introduce "The Fury of Achilles" tee, created to honor the great mythological warrior of Greece - Achilles. A soldier so mighty and thought to be a descendant of the Gods, Achilles famously led his army into the battle of Troy where he slayed Troy's most celebrated hero, Hector.

The large back print features the work of Charles-Antoine Coypel, painted in 1737, and is entitled "The Fury of Achilles". In response to his best friend, Patroclus, being murdered by Hector of Troy, the famed warrior stampedes forward to avenge his fallen brother. Achilles is seen in the center of the painting with a bloodthirsty look in his eyes while the other characters in the painting attempt to console and restrain him. He stands on the body of someone he’s already slain and now is advancing his way towards his next victim. To do this painting justice, each tee was carefully half printed in Los Angeles and framed in an elegant gold frame similar to the style you would likely view original art work in at The Louvre.

The Edo Period was a heavy and gruesome time in history - a point in time where shogun and their loyal samurai warriors ruled over feudal Japan. Bloodshed and war were commonplace and a strict code of Bushido was strictly followed. Although a bloody part of history, it is indeed history, and one we feel ties into the DNA of the roots of our beloved Jiu Jitsu.

Although not in all cases, Seppuku, or "self-disembowelment", was performed when capture was inevitable, to avoid falling into the hands of the enemy and being tortured. This ritual act of taking one’s own life was thought to be a definitive demonstration of a samurai’s courage, strong resolve, and self-control, for seppuku is an extremely painful, slow way to die. It showed a true samurai’s sincerity of purpose.

Our 34th Business Suit and the second of our TTWD Combat Series celebrates one of our favorite camouflage patterns of all time - Chocolate Chip - and features fully embroidered monotone sand-on-sand patches throughout inspired by distinctive insignia connected with certain United States military personnel. The fabric for these Combat Suits were custom dyed to our exact specifications.

The crowning patch of this suit was inspired by pieces of fabric that were known as rescue patches, later called “blood chits” - notices often addressed to civilians to aid or assist armed service members (such as shot-down pilots) in times of war. 

Jacket is made from a high-quality, pre-shrunk 450gram Pearl Weave Cotton material. It features a durable, rubberized, Ripstop collar with T3 stitching and branded taping inside lapel and cuffs. The arms of each jacket features a very slight taper.

Pants are made from an ultra-lightweight 10oz Twill Cotton with 6-point pant loop system and T3 stitching on all seams of pants and branded taping inside cuffs. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

The entire inside of the suit including arms and legs feature our signature black TTWD screen printing throughout. Each suit includes a USA flag sublimated transport bag equipped with a velcro seal and handle, designed after vintage Japanese rice bags.

Our latest all-new short model was designed to emulate a California classic surf short reimagined in an ultra-stretchy and durable 4-way-stretch material with a a 6-eyelet waistband closure and back pocket equipped with a key string as all older surf shorts had. These shorts are perfect for Jiu Jitsu training but also designed for being versatile in all water sports activities as well.

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to train with someone I’ve looked up to for 25 years. One of the greatest of all time had just opened an academy in my hometown, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. We rolled for two hours, and while the energy and technique were unforgettable, my biggest takeaway came afterward — just sitting around, talking about how Jiu Jitsu has been, and always will be, one of the most fulfilling parts of our lives.

When we first started making clothes, “Jiu Jitsu” was always front and center. Over the years, I pulled back a bit, thinking our supporters already knew what we stood for. But that one training session reminded me: those two words are the most important in my vocabulary.

We belong to a special, exclusive club—one reserved for those who truly know the feeling. In Jiu Jitsu, on any given day, you might find yourself learning directly from the “Michael Jordans” of our generation—or, if you’re lucky, even training with them.

Each Hoodie was made from an extremely soft ring-spun cotton and features a regular fit. Left chest features an embroidered Arm Bar logo while the rest of the garment is adorned with premium screen prints and stitch tags all applied by hand in Los Angeles.

Bringing together two arts that have been apart of our lives since youth, the inspiration for our 33rd business suit was derived from the intrusive thoughts during solo surf sessions - wondering if the "tax man" might be hovering below. Meanwhile, throughout the year when the IRS comes knocking, it’s impossible to ignore the other certainty of life.

Famously quoted by Ben Franklin in 1789, "Nothing is certain except death and taxes", that statement still rings true to this day. Unavoidable and unfortunate as it is, we still gotta do what we gotta do to enjoy this short life...so we keep doing what we love every day. 

Each business suit was meticulously detailed with black mountains around each jacket skirt while the jaws of the “landlord” rest above each knee. Black Mountain Surf Wax insignia was carefully embroidered around this heavy duty suit while our signature TTWD inside screen printing and AB logos rest in their original strong holds.

Jacket is made from a high-quality, pre-shrunk 450gram Pearl Weave Cotton material with a 10 oz. twill cotton skirt featuring single needle black mountain embroidery. It features a durable, rubberized, Ripstop collar with T3 stitching throughout.

Pants are made from an ultra-lightweight 10oz Twill Cotton with 6-point pant loop system and T3 stitching on all seams of pants and branded taping inside cuffs. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

Each Limited-Edition heavy duty Business suit was created with an entirely new design honoring the 2 letters that have represented our company since the beginning. Each suit is adorned with subtle monotone embroideries and a first-time presentation of the Official Arm Bar Seal on each arm. Each suit is made from a premium 100% pearl weave cotton.

Jacket is made from a high-quality, pre-shrunk, 100% Cotton 450gram Pearl Weave material. It features a durable, rubberized, Ripstop collar with T3 stitching and soft cotton taping inside cuffs. The arms of each jacket features a very slight taper.

Pants are made from an ultra-lightweight 10oz Twill Cotton with 6-point pant loop system and T3 stitching on all seams of pants and 450 GSM Pearl Weave gusset. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

The entire inside of the suit including arms and legs feature our signature TTWD screen printing throughout the entire garment. Each suit includes a sublimated transport bag equipped with a velcro seal and handle, designed after vintage Japanese rice bags.

We are proud to introduce V31 of our Business Suit collection - the second-coming of heavy duty Business suits created with an entirely new weave that was commonly found in 90's gi's - the gold weave. Each suit is adorned with glistening golden wolf patches, embroideries, and signature stitch tags throughout. As always, each suit is made from a premium 100% cotton.

Jacket is made from a high-quality, pre-shrunk 450gram Gold Weave 100% Cotton material. It features a durable, rubberized, Ripstop collar with T3 stitching and branded taping inside lapel and cuffs. The arms of each jacket features a very slight taper.

Pants are made from an ultra-lightweight 10oz Twill Cotton with 6-point pant loop system and T3 stitching on all seams of pants and 450 GSM gold weave gusset. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

The entire inside of the suit including arms and legs feature our signature TTWD screen printing specially done in Gold ink throughout the entire garment. Each suit includes a sublimated mesh transport bag equipped with a velcro seal and handle, designed after vintage Japanese rice bags.

The 30th version of our limited edition Business Suits - "TTWD RODEO" - is part 4 of the premier collection entirely made by hand in Santa Catarina, Brazil by a small team of Black belts. Each suit is made of 100% Algodão (Brazilian Natural Cotton). This particular business suit features many meticulously placed hand-stitched patches and embroideries designed to replicate the protective vests of professional bull riders.

TTWD RODEO was a collection created to blur the lines between the wild world of competitive bull riding and a life committed to Jiu Jitsu. You Only Die Once. We know what we'll be doing till that day comes.

Jacket is made from high-quality, pre-shrunk 480GSM Pearl Weave Cotton Algodão material. It features a durable, rubberized, cotton collar with T3 stitching and a soft cotton lining comfortably along the wrists.  

Pants are made from a durable + lightweight 300GSM Twill Cotton with 6-point pant loop system, pearl weave gusset, and T3 stitching on all seams of pants + soft cotton lining comfortably along the ankles.

The entire inside of the suit including arms and legs feature a premier contrast TTWD RODEO lightning storm screen printing throughout. With the Ghost versions, the bolts and TTWD's will become more and more apparent the more you sweat. Each suit includes a traditional transport bag with backpack style rope attachments.

NOTES:

1) Size guide is approximated. For these premier Brazil-made suits, we find that the normal size suit we wear arrives slightly large brand new out of the bag and after one wash and dry fits perfectly.

Each suit is laden with gold and brown details on a hunter green canvas, camouflage inside taping, and slightly tapered sleeves.

Jacket is made from high-quality, pre-shrunk 550gram Pearl Weave 100% Cotton material. It features a durable, rubberized, Ripstop collar with T3 stitching and branded taping inside lapel and cuffs.  

Pants are made from an ultra-lightweight 10oz Ripstop Cotton with 6-point pant loop system and T3 stitching on all seams of pants and branded taping inside cuffs. Pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage.

The entire inside of the suit including arms and legs feature Gold TTWD screen printing throughout. Our signature Arm Bar logo is embroidered on sides of Jacket and Pants in a shimmering gold thread. Each suit includes a camouflage transport bag equipped with a velcro seal and handle, designed after vintage Japanese rice bags.

The entire inside of the suit is heat sealed with reflective 3M TTWD taping throughout. Our signature company trademarks are embroidered on sides of Jacket and Pants. Each suit includes a full 3M transport bag equipped with a velcro seal and handle, designed after vintage Japanese rice bags.

NOTE* SIZE GUIDE is approximated - business suits feature an ATHLETIC-FIT construction. On our original run of Crimson Suits, they came out on the very slim side after machine drying so we sized this run up 2" on sleeve length, pants length, and crotch depth to offset.
