With some of the highest mountains in Brasil, Minas Gerais, a state in the Southeast of the country provides the perfect environment and altitude for growing premium coffee. Fazenda Serrado is a 32-hectare farm in Carmo de Minas, Minas Gerais, Brasil. This family farm, which has been operated for many generations, is currently operated by Valéria Dias de Castro Pereira - who comes from a long line of strong women coffee producers. Nazareth Dias Pereira is the founder of Carmo Coffees who is the exporter that this high quality coffee was purchased from. This coffee is a naturally processed yellow bourbon variety.
Such specially-selected, single-origin beans require extremely careful roasting and handling so we enlisted the help of high-grade coffee purveyor, Dune Coffee Roasters - the premier roasting company in Santa Barbara, California. These beans have a medium-roast and were freshly roasted in a micro-batch just before this release.
Each bag was designed by Hawaiian Artist and fellow Jiu Jitsu Player - Kawika Samson.
